5 SNOWBOARDING VIDEOS TO GET YOU IN THE SHREDDING SPIRIT

Is there anything more beautiful than a well shot snowboarding video?

Snowboarders are back in action around the world so we’ve pulled together some of our favourite clips and documentaries to get you in the mood to shred some pow.

THE ART OF FLIGHT (TRAILER)

A decade since it first made our jaws drop, The Art of Flight is still the definitive snowboarding documentary and the trailer alone is a work of art that will take your breath away.

You’ve probably seen it before, but you need to watch it again.

By the way, some of the stars of The Art of Flight recorded a Watch Party during lockdown, so check it out to see just what was going through their minds during some of the most pivotal scenes.

THE UNINVITED II – AN ALL GIRLS SNOWBOARD FILM

The sequel to Jess Kimura’s acclaimed The Uninvited once again showcases the skills and personalities of some of the sport’s up and coming women.

It’s all about riders “with more talent than budget” and that spirit comes across in every spot. Give yourself an hour to sit back and watch both movies – your day will be better for it.

T32M SNOWBOARD MOVIE

The title of this video might not hook you, but the content should … if you can get past the mankini.

Produced in celebration of ThirtyTwo’s 25th anniversary, it’s a fun collection of tricks and peeks behind the scenes. Watch in awe as the likes of Chris Grenier, Scott Stevens and Dylan Alito take us from the streets of Kazakhstan to the mountains of Utah, and even on a visit to Santa’s Grotto.

TRAVIS RICE – RESETTER

Travis Rice was born and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and this backcountry video is all about getting back to his roots.

A combination of aerial shots, headcam footage and insane lines make this one a must-watch.

MARCUS KLEVELAND – SHREDDING WITH 9 Y/O RIPPER

Marcus Kleveland made history when he landed the first competition quad cork 1800 at the 2017 X Games, but it was no big surprise since he’d been nailing triple corks since he was 13 years old.

Which makes it all the more enjoyable to see him outclassed … sort of … by 9-year-old Nico Bondi. Watch out for this kid.

Whether you’re just getting started or you’re a seasoned snowboarding pro like Nico, we hope these videos provide some inspiration this season.

Or at least something to whet your appetite while you wait to get back on the board!
