There are thousands of awesome mountainside videos snapshots up on the internet, many of which are posted by the snowboarders themselves. So we scoured Instagram – the home of GOOD photos – to bring you a rundown of accounts you should be following this year.

The first AM rider on the list, Derrek Lever’s sense of humour and laid-back approach to life have won him a lot of friends and fans on the snowboard scene and beyond.

His style is pretty damn easy on the eye and so is his Instagram!

Slopestyle and Big Air specialist Stale Såndbech has already achieved so much in his young career. With an Olympic silver in the bag already (alongside an impressive Winter X Games haul), he’s no rookie – that’s for sure. With 200k followers and counting, Såndbech’s Instagram account is everything you’d want from a snowboarder on social media – air shots, antics and aesthetics.

For most 17 year olds, getting out on the board is an annual event at best. But for Marcus Kleveland it’s a different story. The youngster from Norway is already making noises on the World Snowboard Tour – rubbing shoulders with seasoned pros across the globe.

Super popular on Instagram already, Kleveland’s feed is jam-packed with snowy shots that show off what he’s all about – plus a bunch of videos to get you amped for your next snowboarding adventure.

One of a kind, Jenny Jones has had an unforgettable career on the white stuff. With both Olympics and X Games medals to her name, she’s been one of the leading lights in British female snowboarding for quite some time now. She’s also a pretty keen surfer!

Follow Bristolian Jenny – who also appeared as a coach on UK’s The Jump in 2014 – as she takes us on an adventure like no other.

Jake Blauvelt (@jake_blauvelt)

Somewhat of a household name for professional snowboarding fans, Jake Blauvelt has grown into one of the most impressive boarders around. Starting his career going from one competition to another, Jake soon shifted his focus in favour of the playground that is the backcountry.

Next on the list is Whistler Valley native Beau Bishop. Other than having a really cool name, the Global AM boarder is no stranger to throwing himself down mountainsides, and isn’t afraid to put himself on the line for his sport.

Motivated and industrious, Hana Beaman’s career goes from strength to strength. Hana lives, sleeps and breathes snowboarding. Her dedication to the sport is impressive in itself – and that’s before you get to her style.

One of our favourites on the list, ‘Good time hunter’ Hana really brings it on Instagram, sharing her wild adventures with more than 17k avid followers.

Elena Hight (@elenahight)

Elena Hight has always set the bar high for herself. The first female to land a 900 in a competition at the tender age of 13, this energetic All-American rider is seriously good on the snow. Now at the age of 27, she has already featured in two Olympic Games.

Born and bred Brit Billy Morgan hadn’t even experienced dry slopes until the age of 14. The 27 year old has competed at the very highest level, featuring in the X Games, the Snowboard World Cup and the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014.
