“Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta
Videographer Milosh Kitchovitch has travelled to the corners of the planet, to unearth real wonders of the world – experience, capture and share them.
“There are many reasons people are obsessed with travel. For me there is only one: witness the most amazing, scenic, beautiful, sacred, energy filling places on our planet. And share this experience with others,” says Milosh.
While pictures paint 1,000 words, Milosh’s videos can tell a whole story. In keeping with his mantra – the beauty of the world without words – sometimes true beauty doesn’t need an introduction.

TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
A trip to South East Asia in 2003 was the turning point for Milosh.
Already a keen photographer, but limited in what he was able to capture, he bought a camcorder. “At this stage I got addicted to travelling to see more, and film more. I’m lucky though, I get to combine my passion and hobby, and forge out a career in the process. It’s one big adventure,” he says.
A natural wonder in Northern Vietnam, Halong Bay translates into ‘descending dragon’ and is home to over 1,600 limestone islands dramatically rising from the sea and topped with rainforests. Declared a UNESCO World Site in 1994, the bay features a wide range of biodiversity and surrealistic scenery.
WONDERS OF THE WORLD
Ancient ruins, mysterious religious sites or unprecedented natural beauty, these places stand out in Milosh’s mind for their enticing characteristics.
SOUTHERN UTAH, USA
Southern Utah, where alpine forests meet red rock canyons. Home to fields of hoodoos, uniquely carved by the elements over millions of years, it’s a geological wonder. And Reflection Canyon sits right amongst Mars-esk landscape.
Drawing on his time in the state, Milosh says “Southern Utah is one of the top destinations for me, the plateaus are otherworldly, and it’s not over-crowded like so many places on this planet.”
ANGKOR TEMPLES, CAMBODIA
8,000 miles from Utah over the Pacific Ocean lie the Temples of Angkor in Cambodia, another destination that vies for a truly extraordinary topspot.
The temple complex culminates in Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world covering 1,626,000m2 (402 acres). Surprisingly well preserved from the encroaching jungle, the Temples of Angkor is shrouded in mystery, artistic excellence and spiritual devotion.
MACHU PICCHU, PERU
Journey over 12,000 miles from Cambodia is Southern Peru – and another unique built landmark, Machu Picchu. Voted as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the ‘lost city of the Inca’ is the most famous archaeological site on the continent.
Clouded by mist and vegetation, Milosh has been fortunate to reach Machu Picchu via three different Inca trails – the Classic trek, via Choquequirao, and Salkantay trek. He reveals “All three treks are stunning and getting to Machu Picchu is a crowning experience.”
Although it’s name still sticks ‘the lost city of the Inca’ is debated as to whether it was ever lost at all, as farming families were found living there when it was first ‘discovered’ in 1911 by explorer Hiram Bingham III. For more information about the site, which is surprisingly clear from information boards head to Museo de Sitio Manuel Chávez Ballón.
The featured track was composed especially for this video by Australian composer and musician Herrin.
“What makes these places and many others so impressive is the feeling of elation,” Milosh reveals. “It’s a feeling you get addicted to and that for some people is the main purpose to travel.”
Milosh believes travel should not be seen as ‘tick-box’ exercise. He explains, “I never count the countries I’ve been to, it creates a feeling of trying to get as many places ticked off as possible, and therefore not being fully present in some of the most fascinating places in the world.”
LIFE ON THE ROAD
Managing life on the road isn’t easy. Extreme conditions and severe weather can hamper any trip. Freezing temperatures and altitude play havoc with the body, and being constantly on the move can prove exhausting.
However, it’s not enough to stop intrepid explorers like Milosh.
Unable to shake the feeling of curiosity, he’s drawn into the unknown. And the impact of harsh conditions is soon forgotten on completing an expedition “Everything suddenly becomes clear, why I do this and the feeling of being able to share the trip with others,” he says.
Struggle aside, the trip is washed with joy. “The pleasure extends from planning to the moment the final videos are published.”
Virunga National Park, in the eastern part of DR Congo, was the first Africa’s national park, established in 1825, and UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979. The mountain gorillas are highly endangered, there are only about 880 are left in the world, they all live in four national parks across DR Congo, Rwanda and Uganda.
While areas of outstanding natural beauty, or fascinating built structures, might draw in tourists, there’s an aspect to these places which is often overlooked, the people. People who have been moulded by a blend of cultures over the years. Milosh has observed the people living in tough conditions, and noted how they seem remarkably happier than those with comfortable lives. Perhaps it’s down to conditions that are at home in nature, or closer to what they have been in past human history.
“I’ve been all over the world and witnessed some poor living conditions, yet it’s the people living in them that have the biggest smiles and are the most welcoming.”
Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan, Northern India. Part of India’s famed Golden Triangle, Jaipur (Pink City) is a mix of ancient forts, royal palaces and vibrant bazaars. At its heart is a historical 18th century old city, surrounded by huge fortification walls and access permitted through eight towering gates.
Videography veteran Milosh has been on the road for over 16 years. Travelling far and wide to capture places of unique beauty, ancient civilisation and extensive national parks. Giving viewers the opportunity to explore the world in a few clicks.
